Potato Triangle Pastry Recipe


  • 2 phyllo dough sheets
  • 2 potatoes
  • 4 green peppers
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt, black pepper

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

For the Topping:

  • 1 egg
  • Cumin seeds

Start by boiling and mashing the potatoes, then let them cool. Once cooled, prepare the filling by adding grated cheddar cheese, beaten egg, chopped green peppers, salt, and black pepper to the mashed potatoes.

Then, layer 2 phyllo dough sheets on top of each other, brushing a mixture of milk and vegetable oil in between. Cut the stacked phyllo dough in half.

Cut the resulting half-circle-shaped dough into strips about 3 fingers thick. Place some potato filling on the end of each strip and fold them into a triangle shape.

Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle cumin seeds on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. Bake the pastries until they are golden brown. Enjoy your pastries!
